I received the official notice yesterday.

Effective October 22, 2009 the Airport Identifier for Westover Field/Amador County Airport will change from O70 to (K) JAQ, Juliet, Alpha, Quebec.

Some GPS databases have already made the change to the new identifier.

The Amador County Chamber of Commerce  mixer will return to Westover Field for another night of fun and food. This event is co-hosted by the Westover Pilots Association and Helimax Aviation.  Cocktails and appetizers start at 5pm on Wednesday September 16th.

The fuel system has been returned to service.

The fuel system will be out of service on Wednesday and Thursday July 22 and 23, 2009.

The out of service will be caused by a required upgrade to the credit card reader.
